For a will that is not straightforward. Afterwards we send you a written fee estimate for your will. If you go ahead, the £150 is deducted from that price.
If you decide not to proceed after the consultation service is completed, the consultation fee remains payable. Your statutory cancellation rights are unaffected.

Not straightforward?
The £150 fixed price is for a straightforward will. A professional consultation costs £150, including VAT. Afterwards we send you a written fee estimate for your will. If you go ahead, the £150 is deducted from that price.
The fixed price includes solicitor review of straightforward instructions. Substantive company document review, advice on wills in different countries and other specialist advice need a separately agreed scope and fee.
What £150 covers and when you need a quoteYou might need a professional consultation if, for example:
- You live outside the UK
- You own property abroad, or have a will in another country
- You own a business or farm
- You want to provide for someone who is disabled or vulnerable
- You want a trust beyond a straightforward children’s trust, such as a life interest or a right to live in your home

Keeping your will safe
Free safe storage with Fifty Six Law, for life. You pay only the postage to send it to us. HMCTS: £24 if you deposit it yourself, £74 if we do it for you.
Will updates
One round of changes is included before final issue. Later updates cost £25 per will, with delivery included.
LPA Hub Pro
Optional attorney tools for £7 a month or £60 a year, including financial and decision records and co-attorney coordination.

Property and Financial Affairs plus Health and Welfare, prepared and reviewed by Fifty Six Law with signing and registration guidance.
Office of the Public Guardian registration fees are separate. You may pay half the fee (a reduction) if your income is less than £12,000 a year, or nothing (an exemption) if you receive certain means-tested benefits.
LPA Hub Pro, an optional upgrade for attorneys that adds financial and decision records and co-attorney tools, is £7 a month or £60 a year.

Choose how much help you want
Organise the estate yourself for £195, use Fifty Six Law for a straightforward grant application for £850, or have Fifty Six Law deal with the whole estate. From £1,950 including VAT for a straightforward estate without property, or from £3,250 with one UK property, plus outside costs. Our assessment takes account of the estate’s value and the work involved. We agree the scope and fixed fee in writing before chargeable work begins.
Need to change an inheritance instead? A straightforward GetWill-generated Deed of Variation with Fifty Six Law review is £750 including VAT.
If Inheritance Tax has already been paid, the free reclaim check looks for a possible IHT35, IHT38 or other correction. A standard accepted sale-loss claim is £495 including VAT, or 30% of the tax HMRC repays (25% plus VAT) if that is more. The £495 is credited against the success fee, so you never pay both.
