1. About This Service
GetWill is an online will-writing service operated by Fifty Six Law Ltd, a law firm authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA No. 8009306).
All wills are drafted and reviewed by qualified solicitors practicing English law to ensure they meet legal requirements for England and Wales.
2. Scope of Service
Our service includes:
- Online questionnaire to capture your wishes
- Review of your submission by an SRA-regulated solicitor
- Preparation of your will for approval
- One round of revisions before finalisation
- Delivery of final will (PDF by email, originals by post) after approval/payment, subject to suitability
- Instructions for proper execution (witnessing) of your will
Our service does NOT include:
- Legal advice on tax planning or complex estate matters
- Drafting of trusts (beyond simple age 18 trusts for children)
- Will storage services (unless separately agreed)
- Registration with the National Will Register (client's responsibility)
- Witnessing services (you must arrange your own witnesses)
3. Eligibility
To use this service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be of sound mind and not acting under duress
- Be resident in England or Wales
- Have assets primarily located in England and Wales
4. Pricing and Payment
- Simple Will: One person£150
- Mirror Wills: Couple (£150 deposit + £75 balance)£225 total
- Complex Will: Deposit (final price after consultation)£150
All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Payment is taken at the time of submission via Stripe. You will receive a receipt by email.
5. Suitability Assessment
After reviewing your submission, we reserve the right to determine that your matter is too complex for our standard online service. In such cases, we will:
- Contact you within 1 working day of payment to arrange an appointment
- Confirm any additional fees before we proceed
- Provide guidance on next steps
Complex matters may include (but are not limited to):
- Estates worth over £1 million requiring tax planning
- Business succession planning
- Significant foreign assets
- Disabled beneficiaries requiring specialist trusts
- Contentious family situations with high litigation risk
6. Your Responsibilities
You must:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Inform us of any changes before receiving your final will
- Arrange for proper witnessing according to our instructions
- Keep your will in a safe place and inform executors of its location
- Review and update your will when circumstances change
Important: Your will is not legally valid until properly witnessed by two independent witnesses.
