GetWill Plus for LPAs: service agreement

Version 2026-09-11

Your order identifies the service, provider and amount. Before payment, you agree to its terms using one checkbox. We send you a copy to keep.

1. Your service and scope

Paid LPA tools for one donor: prepared PDF and CSV reports, letter templates, record prompts and shared working. Both types of LPA and authorised participants are covered. This is a software subscription, with no solicitor review, legal advice or OPG registration fee included. Your underlying records remain available when the subscription ends.

2. Who provides your service

GetWill is the technology platform provided by Ailex Ltd, company number 16282345. Our registered office is Swan Building, 20 Swan Street, Manchester M4 5JW. Contact support@getwill.co.uk or 0161 515 7329 for account and platform help.

Legal services are provided by Fifty Six Law Ltd, company number 15883880, authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, number 8009306. Its registered office is Swan Buildings, First Floor, 20 Swan Street, Manchester M4 5JW. Its main office is Colony Flint Glass Works, 64 Jersey Street, Manchester M4 6JW. Contact getwill@fiftysixlaw.co.uk or 0161 515 7329 about legal work.

Your service summary identifies the provider. Buying software from Ailex does not instruct a solicitor. Ailex is not a law firm and the SRA protections applying to Fifty Six Law do not apply to the platform service itself.

3. Your account and information

Keep your sign-in email secure and tell us if someone may have accessed your account without permission. Give accurate information, check the records and documents, and tell us about relevant changes. Only act for another person or an estate where you have authority to do so.

The records and guidance support your decisions. Saving a record, inviting someone or paying for software does not establish capacity, grant legal authority, register an LPA, obtain probate or make a will legally effective.

People you invite receive only the access you grant. You must have a proper basis to share their personal information. Our privacy notice explains how we use personal information; accepting service terms is not consent to marketing.

4. Prices and payment

The order shows the service, price including VAT where applicable, any discount or credit, and whether the payment is a deposit, balance, one-off fee or recurring subscription. Court, registration and other third-party charges are separate unless the order expressly includes them.

You agree to the amount shown before confirming payment. We do not charge for extra work or change a fixed scope without explaining the change and obtaining your agreement. A payment receipt confirms payment; it does not by itself confirm that a law firm has accepted a matter.

5. Free records and paid workspaces

The Estate starting questions and initial route assessment are free. The Estate Organiser is a one-off purchase for one estate, covering administration through completion. It is not a monthly subscription and does not include legal advice. The amount paid for the Organiser, up to £195, is credited when the same estate upgrades to an eligible Fifty Six Law probate service.

Basic LPA details, decision and spending records remain available without a subscription. GetWill Plus adds prepared reports, templates, automation and shared working for the covered donor. The price is £7 per month or £60 per year, including VAT, covering that donor’s LPAs and the people authorised to work on them. Invited people do not each need a subscription.

Subscriptions renew at the interval and price shown at checkout. You can stop renewal through billing in your account before the next renewal. Paid features remain available until the paid period ends. We will give advance notice of a future price change and let you stop renewal before it takes effect.

Ending a subscription does not remove your underlying records or your ability to obtain a basic copy. Prepared reports and further paid processing require an active plan. Information may still be retained where required for legal, security or record-keeping reasons, as explained in the privacy notice.

6. Service standards and your rights

We will provide the purchased service with reasonable care and skill. Tell us if it is not as described or does not work as it should so that we can put it right. Your statutory rights, including any right to repeat performance, repair, a price reduction or refund, are not restricted by these terms.

Keep a copy of important documents. We may briefly interrupt the platform for maintenance and will take reasonable steps to restore access after a fault. If a paid service must close, we will tell you how to obtain your records and address the unused service fairly.

We may restrict misuse or unauthorised access to protect records and other people. We will explain the reason where we can and provide a way to contact us. We do not exclude liability where doing so would be unlawful, including fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

7. How to cancel

For a distance service contract, you normally have 14 days from the day the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason. For a software subscription this applies to the initial contract; you can also stop future renewal through your account.

If you expressly ask us to begin during those 14 days, you can still cancel while the service is incomplete. You may have to pay only a proportionate amount for the service actually supplied before you tell us to stop. Your cancellation right ends on full performance only where you requested the early start and acknowledged that consequence. Merely opening your account or downloading a document does not by itself remove your rights.

Email support@getwill.co.uk for a platform service or getwill@fiftysixlaw.co.uk for legal work, or write to the relevant registered office above. A clear statement is enough. You may use: “I wish to cancel my contract for [service], ordered on [date]. My name, address and order reference are [details].” Add the date and, for a paper notice, your signature. You do not have to use this form.

Send the cancellation before the deadline. Any refund due will be made without undue delay and within 14 days of being told of the cancellation, normally by the original payment method. We will explain any lawful deduction for work you asked us to begin.

8. Questions, complaints and applicable law

For platform questions or complaints contact support@getwill.co.uk. For legal-service complaints contact Fifty Six Law. Its complaints handler is Piers Dryden, piers.dryden@fiftysixlaw.co.uk, telephone 0161 515 7329. Complaints are handled without charge.

Eligible clients may complain to the Legal Ombudsman if the firm has not resolved a complaint within eight weeks or after its final response. Normally the complaint must be made within one year of the act or omission, or of when you should reasonably have known of it, and within six months of the firm’s final response. Contact enquiries@legalombudsman.org.uk, 0300 555 0333, or Legal Ombudsman, PO Box 6167, Slough SL1 0EH. Its scheme rules include eligibility requirements and discretion to extend time limits.

These terms use the law of England and Wales, without removing any mandatory consumer rights or right to bring proceedings available to you where you live. We will send a copy of the service agreement you accept so you can keep it.

Optional address lookup uses Google Maps. Use of this feature is subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. You can enter addresses manually.
